Description

The bypass-electronic-valve, Maserati component number 673010358, regulates coolant flow through the engine cooling system. It is managed by the engine control unit (ECU) and housed in the cooling system thermostat housing.

To control the engine coolant temperature, the bypass electronic valve opens and closes. The valve closes when the engine is cold, allowing coolant to flow through the heater core and engine block thus warming the engine and the car’s interior. The valve opens to let more coolant pass through the radiator, where the airflow cools it, as the engine warms up.
